Even knowing that Ryoko is ultimately an alternate persona embedded within Junko Enoshima, I feel that Ryoko exists as a truly distinct individual. Her unique perspective, her struggles with memory and identity, and her pure sense of self make her feel like a completely separate soul from Junko’s overwhelming despair.

Sorry about the delayed reply, this notification got completely drowned in the rest of mine! I really love the long replies, though, it seriously feels like you're actually getting to know someone when you share stories like that! That screensharing date night memory is honestly so sweet, even if Danganronpa 3 left you traumatized for life, rofl. It’s amazing how much an introduction like that can shape your tastes, though I totally get the struggle of an anime figurine collection taking over your wallet! I'm the same way but with cosplay wigs. I’m really glad I got introduced to the series and anime in general, too.
