The website is weird, the old one was better.

Introducing the World of Anime Database! This is a feature that was in the original World of Anime, but it works quite different now. On the original site, titles and episodes had to all be manually input by users. Now the database builds itself as you search for anime. As you are searching anime titles for your watchlist and reviews, it is building a database of anime titles and episodes. You can now see all of the anime titles in the database by clicking on the Database link in the dropdown menu. You can either browse all titles, or browse by genre or theme. For each title, you will see its name, type, number of episodes, when it aired, its ratings from World of Anime members, how many watchlists it is on, and if there have been any reviews written for it. You can click on each title to go to its full info page with episodes list. From here you can rate it yourself, add episodes to your watchlist, or write a review. If you don't see the anime you are looking for in the browse view, you can search for it with the search box at the bottom of the page. Searching for it will also add it to the World of Anime database so in the future it will be found by browsing. The more you search for anime, the bigger the database grows! I hope you enjoy this feature, and please use it as much as possible. Just using it helps the content grow and become more useful. I would like if you would add episodes to your watchlist and write reviews, but even without doing that, you can just click on titles and quickly give them a rating.

Just wanted to let everyone know that anime search should be working reliably now in all places it is used (Watchlist, Reviews, etc...) Please feel free to fill up your watchlist with what you have seen. And if you could please write some reviews for anime you have watched, I would appreciate it. Thanks for being patient while I worked out the issues with anime search. There are some more features on the site coming in the future that will make use of this anime search, so it was important for me to get it working right.

I'm still working on getting my own instance of the Jikan API set up for the site, but as of now it looks like the public API the site is using is working again. If someone would be willing to try out the new review feature and write a review, I would really appreciate it!

Quick announcement. I know the timing is bad since I just launched features like Watchlist and Anime Reviews, but I just discovered the service they were using in the background for search (Jikan API) is going to be going away soon. Also it seems to be giving intermittent issues with searching, so you may not see results when you search for anime. I am actively working on getting a self hosted instance of the API running that I can use for the site, but it will take a few days to get it implemented and populated with content. In the mean time, searching for anime may or may not return results. Again I apologize, I should have it fully working in a few days.

Announcing a new major feature to World of Anime - Anime Reviews! This was another big feature of the original World of Anime, and I am very happy to be bringing it back to the new World of Anime. To access reviews, click on the new Reviews link in the dropdown menu. From this page, you can see other people's reviews, or click the button to add your own. To add your own review, search for an anime title, and click the box with the title you want to review. You can either either publish your review immediately, or put it in draft mode and publish it later. To see all of your own reviews, go to your profile and click the Reviews link in the Activities & Actions box. This is where go to publish a review you currently have in draft mode. The reviews feature is integrated into the anime database which is being built as you search for anime to review and add to your watchlist. Each anime title now has a Reviews tab which will show all of the reviews for that title. You can also rate anime here without having to write a review. I hope you enjoy this feature. I can't wait to read your reviews of different anime!

I started Trails of Cold Steel over the weekend. After having never played a Trails game, a couple of years ago I started with the goal of playing through the entire series in order. I played Sky FC, Sky SC, Sky the 3rd, Zero, Azure, Nayuta, and now started Cold Steel. I've got some long games ahead of me.

Wow, I just read the news that Sony is going to stop production of physical Playstation games starting January 2028. As a lifelong video game player, and die hard physical media fan, this is sad news for me.

Hey everyone - I just wanted to let you know of a new feature I just launched - Member Search. I'm trying to create ways to make it easier to find people to connect with, and I think Member Search will help a lot. You can either click the little search icon at the top of of the page, or Members in the drop down navigation. From here you will initially see the newest members, with a filter box you can use to quickly narrow down users by username. And if you click the "Advanced Search" button you can search members by all sorts of fields from their user profile. Click "Search" again at the bottom and the results will be replaced with the results from your search, which you can once again filter by username. I hope this helps in finding World of Anime members to connect with.
