I am very happy to announce a new huge addition to the site - Fan Fiction! This was a favorite from the original World of Anime and I am super happy to be bringing it back, and better than ever! To access Fan Fiction, go to the new Fan Fiction tab in the dropdown navigation bar. From here you can browse all stories based on an anime title, all stories by author, or be genre. You can also view your own fan fiction using the link here, or use the link in your profile. You can also start writing a new story here. You can write fan fiction either based on an anime, or you can write original fiction not tied to an anime title. To start a fan fiction based on an anime, start writing a story, click the choice that says based on an anime, and search to find the title it is based on. All anime titles in the Anime Database now have a "Fan Fiction" tab where you can see all fan fiction based on that title, or click the "Write a new story" button to start your own. When writing chapters for your story, you can either publish right away or save for draft so you can publish them later. You can also edit existing chapters, move them back to draft, delete them, or add new chapters in the middle of an existing story. The goal is to allow maximum flexibility in writing your stories! You will be notified when your friends publish new chapters. You can also subscribe to strories you like and receive notifications when new chapters are published. One thing to note is, when you first start writing your story, you will be asked to give it a rating based on the movie rating system (G, PG, PG-13, or R) Note that R rated stories will not show up to users on the site who are under 18 years of age, and will also not show up to users browsing the site while not logged in. Also note that MA rated content is not allowed. Please select the rating that accurately reflects your story. I can't wait to read everyone's creative stories!
