Code of Conduct

To ensure World of Anime remains a positive, safe, and friendly environment for all anime fans, we require all users to adhere to the following Code of Conduct.

1. User Expectations

  • World of Anime is a positive, safe and friendly environment.
  • Be respectful of others. You don't have to get along with everyone, but there is no excuse to be mean, disrespectful, or behave poorly.
  • Be a constructive and positive contributing member of the community.
  • Abuse or bullying will not be tolerated.
  • Harassment will not be tolerated.
  • Racist, homophobic, or other hateful language will not be tolerated.

2. User Posted Content

The site allows users to post content, both textual and visual, including images and links. You are responsible for posting only appropriate material.

  • Any links you provide should be to content that also complies with our Code of Conduct.
  • You may not post abusive or otherwise hateful content.
  • You may not post content that is not your own without permission.
  • You may not post spam.

3. Posting Images

  • Do not post illegal or explicit material.
  • The minimum age requirement for World of Anime is 13, so assume anything you post should be appropriate for a PG-13 rating.
  • Only upload images that you own or have permission to share. Give proper credit to original creators where applicable.
  • Do not post images revealing private details like addresses or other personally identifiable information.
  • Do not post images of other people without their consent.
  • Do not post images of minors under any circumstances.
  • Do not post images that would be considered hate speech or harassment.
  • Do not post images that are advertisements or solicitations.
  • Be aware that your IP address is recorded when you upload an image.

4. Available Tools

We provide several tools to help you manage your experience and keep the community safe:

  • Block List: Users have a "block list" where they can maintain a list of users they would like to block. Blocked users will not be able to post comments or replies on your profile, image galleries, or homepage comments started by you, and will not be able to send you a friend request.
  • Reporting: All user content has a "Report" link that allows you to report content to a site moderator who will review it. If it does not meet our Code of Conduct, it will be removed. Depending on the severity, the user posting the content may also be warned and/or banned from the site, either temporarily or permanently.

5. Consequences

  • Users who post content that does not comply with our Code of Conduct will have that content removed.
  • Depending on the severity and frequency of the content posting, the user posting the content may also be warned and/or banned from the site, either temporarily or permanently.
  • Users who bring an overall negative experience to the site may also be warned and/or banned from the site, either temporarily or permanently.
