So, I was meal prepping for the next day at my job, we prepared meals for university students. I was basically a lunch lady, but not quite... anyway. Regardless, it was the last week before summer break (we had the summers off), and we ran out of turkey. We weren't getting any more delivered because why would we? Any unused bulk food would just go to waste. ​They told me to replace it with something else so the tray wouldn't be empty, but there was nothing to replace it with. We didn't have extra meat because we only had enough for the other stations, enough fruit for their respective spots, etc. So, I decided to get creative. * Thanks to my creativity, I got a ton of complaints from the older women I worked with. They said I was unprofessional and wasn't taking the job seriously. I was the talk of the workplace for the rest of the week and even at the start of the new school year. My managers thought it was hilarious, though, so I consider it a win.
