Your First Anime

What is the first anime you can remember watching? And what is the show that really got you into the genre? While I watched a lot of cartoons as a kid, I don't really recall watching any anime. I know I would watch the opening to Speed Racer, just because I liked the song, but then I would turn it off and didn't actually watch it. The show that definitely got me into anime was Sailor Moon.

Voltes V and Danguard Ace were the first Anime for me. Which I saw first, I can't remember. I was 8 or 9, it was the late 70's early 80's. Technology was breaking new boundaries. The first Space Shuttle (Columbia) would launch in 1981. Arcades were becoming a massive phenomenon. So...Mecha robots?! Hell yes! That was the shit back then, if you even had access to anime. Today, however. I'm not very big into Mecha. I'm more into isekai, psychological horror, shonen and various crossovers these days.
