I like to relax and play games that make me unreasonably angry.

I have a problem with always tweaking and tuning my gaming PC to be the best it can be so I can play horribly difficult games without lag that raise my blood pressure needlessly so I can be the best knowing there is not a single soul on earth who cares about any of these achievements... and I occasionally like to bake.

I play a lot of chill and cozy games. I’ve been getting into making charms with pony beads while videos from my favorite streamers play in the background. I’ve gotten into painting again too for the first time in years which has been very rewarding.

I can recite the "Nations of the World" (Yakko's World) song from Animaniacs from memory. I memorized it in school when it was new and have never forgotten it. I sing it in its entirety usually at least once a week.

I don't think there are a lot of people against this, except maybe weirdos. Friendships of all genders are completely normal and encouraged by people with healthy attitudes.

A lot of people are friends with members of the opposite sex, though there are religions that oppose it, often stating their specific reasons in their teachings. While some individuals are against it simply to be against it, even they have their underlying reasons, whether rooted in their personal mindset or past traumas.

Circling back to this dead horse again? Listen, some cultures don't even let same genders change in the same room together because it's gross. You assume that's a general rule but it's not. There are many people who don't want to change in front of anyone. So instead of outlawing separation I say we go in the other direction and make it normal not to change in front of anyone regardless of gender. Now find a new subject to disgust the rest of us with because we're getting bored of this one.

The old World of Anime was not moderated to the extent that it should have been. Its largely "anything goes" environment attracted the wrong crowd of people and created an overall negative and hostile environment that eventually led me to taking the site down for my overall mental health. I will not allow that to happen again. Read the Code of Conduct to see what is acceptable on the site. This site is intentionally a positive, safe, and friendly environment, and content that is not fulfilling of that mission is not welcome.

When you post a blog, it sends a notification to all of your friends with a link to the blog. It also shows up on the homepage as the latest blog post. The point of the site is to be an open community and as a result content is visible to many people. As for fairness, you are totally missing the point. I am trying to cultivate a certain type of community with a certain type of atmosphere. I know firsthand from experience what happens when you allow near complete freedom and it doesn't end well. The original World of Anime ended because of the excessive leniency. The last year or so was very draining on me, trying to please every side and get people to calm down and ignore the problem users while also allowing the people who were causing trouble to continue. I think there were users that wanted to see just how far they could push things. It was a difficult decision to shut down the old World of Anime, but it was a very peaceful and calming time for me afterwards. While I missed running the site and providing the opportunity for the community to find and engage with each other, I did not miss the drama one bit. After I made the decision to begin a new chapter of World of Anime, all during the development of the site I kept a bit of doubt as to whether I really wanted to do this, because of the feelings I had towards the end of the last site. This is why I am so adamant on keeping the atmosphere positive and friendly. That is the only way this site is going to work. This is my third version of the site. I know from experience what caused the first 2 to end, so I am doing everything I can to prevent those things from happening again. I am not dealing with the drama again. I will shut the site down again before allowing myself to be overcome with the drama of problem users. You can complain all you want about not being "fair", but its not going to change. This is a community site and it has a Code of Conduct that users are expected to follow. If you don't like the rules, I'm sure you can find another site that will let you post whatever content you want. It is not welcome here.

This site is built much more in the spirit of the original World of Anime (2009-2015) When you say the "old one", are you referring to 2015-2020? If so, it is going to be much different than that because that was a bland, off the shelf social networking site. World of Anime is not a social networking site, it is an anime community site. I'm always trying to make things better, and I am always open to suggestions. So if you have any suggestions for how I can improve the site, please let me know. Thanks!

Search should be working now. I have my own instance running locally. I'm still working on tweaking it so the results are better, but it is at least working. Additionally, if you want to write a review for an anime that is already on your watchlist, that is even easier. Just go to your watchlist, click on the title, and click on the "Reviews" tab. From there, you can click the button to write a new review for that title.
